Are you sure
you will go to Heaven when you die?
God’s word
teaches us that in order to go to Heaven, you must be born again.
This is known as being saved, (Saved from Hell).
Being saved
is not a question of how good you are, or if you are a church
member.
In the Bible
God gives us a simple plan of how to be saved, by being born again.
Born as a new creation, into a new family, the family of God. One
reference to this is John 3:7, where Jesus said to Nicodemus,
“Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again”.
His plan is
simple! You can be saved; you can be born again (right now, today).
First, you must realize you are a sinner. Romans 3:23,
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”.
Because
everyone sins, we are condemned to death, just like in a court of
law. Romans 6:23 first half, “For the wages of sin is
death;” This death since we all will have eternal life somewhere
is eternal separation from God in Hell, a place He created for Satin
and his followers. Hebrews 9:27, “And as it is appointed
unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”.
But we have
hope, God loved us so much he paid the price for our sins and
pardons us form judgment IF we except this fact and turn from our
sins. Romans 6:23 second half “but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. Notice the word
GIFT! John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life". 2 Corinthians 5:21, “For
he hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be
made the righteousness of God in him”. Him of course, is Jesus.
Jesus had to
shed His blood and die. Leviticus 17:11,“For the life of
the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar
to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh
an atonement for the soul”. Hebrews 9:22, “And almost
all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of
blood is no remission”.
In the Old
Testament God commanded of man sacrifices of blood to pay the price
for his sins. God loved us and decided to supply man with the last
sacrifice that was ever needed. Romans 5:8, “But God
commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us”.
It’s not hard
to understand how my sins and your sins were laid upon Jesus as He
died in our place when He became our sacrifices. The Word of God is
true, God does not lie.
Acts 17:30,
“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now
commandeth all men every where to repent:”. This repentance is
a change of mind, agreeing with God that everyone is a sinner, and
also agrees that Jesus died for us on the Cross.
The jailer
asked Paul and Silas: Acts 16:30, “… Sirs, what must I do
to be saved?”. Acts 16:31, "And they said, Believe
on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house”.
Simply
believe on Him as the one paid for your sin by dieing in your
place, that He was buried, and God resurrected Him.
His resurrection powerfully assures that the believer can claim
everlasting life when Jesus is received as their Savior. John
1:12,“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to
become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”.
Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of
the Lord shall be saved”. Whosoever includes you. Shall be saved
does not mean maybe, or can, but shall be saved".
IF
you realize you are a sinner, you can right now, wherever you are,
repent. Just lift your heart to God in prayer. Luke 18:13,
“And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much
as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be
merciful to me a sinner”. The sinner prayed: "God be merciful
to me a sinner."
(He probably
felt he wasn't worthy to look upon God)
Just pray:
"Oh, God, I know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus was my substitute
when He died on the Cross. I believe His blood was shed, He died,
was buried, and then was resurrection for me. I now receive Him as
my Savior.
Then remember
to thank Him for the forgiveness of your sins, the gift of salvation
and everlasting life, because of Your merciful grace. Amen."
Just take God
at His word and claim His salvation by faith. Believe, and you will
be saved. No church, no lodge, no good works can save you. Remember,
God does the saving. All of it!
God's simple
plan of salvation is: You are a sinner. Therefore, unless you
believe on Jesus Who died in your place, you will spend eternity
dieing in Hell. If you believe on Him as your crucified, buried, and
risen Savior, you can receive forgiveness for all of your sins and
His gift of eternal salvation by faith.

Corinthians 10:13, “There hath no temptation taken you but
such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer
you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the
temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear
it".
If you strive
to do your part, God's power will save you, keep you saved, and
enable you to live a victorious Christian life. Do not trust your
feelings. They change. Stand on God's promises. They never change.
After you are
saved, there are a few things to practice for spiritual growth:
*Pray — you talk to God.
*Read your Bible — God talks to you.
*Witness — you talk for God.
*You should be baptized in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ
as a public testimony of your salvation, and then
*unite with a Bible-believing church without delay. 2
Timothy 1:8, “Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony
of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the
afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;”.
Matthew 10:32, “Whosoever therefore shall confess me
before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in
heaven”.
